Nordelph in pictures: Raft Race 2010 -- Fancy Dress
One tradition of the Nordelph Raft Races is the fancy dress -- competitors and spectators alike ransack their dressing-up boxes and proudly (?) show off the results. An innovation this year was a parade down the High Street before the raft racing began -- there was some discussion as to whether this might be called a 'Concours d'excellence', but several people thought that this only applied to motor vehicles! But what the hell -- a good time was had by all and first prize (children only) went to Jessica O'Sullivan, who narrowly beat Ryan McGrane-Venn. More fancy dress pictures below:
