Nordelph Arts & Crafts Club -- February 2006

Maureen Ward (pictured on the right of our first photograph), a Nordelph resident, kindly gave up an afternoon in early February to teach us how to make Valentine hearts from willow.  The class tackled the challenge with our customary gusto and produced a surprisingly diverse selection of hearts.  Everyone was very quick to realise the potential of making other shapes with willow being both plentiful and cheap.

And our resident 'character knitter' has done it again. Joy (on the right) often surprises us with her witty knits and this time she has presented us with a beautifully produced club mascot.

Joy will tackle all sorts of 'little people' from snowmen and all things Christmassy, armed forces personnel, cute and cuddly animals - the list is endless.
Needles are never far from Joy's creative fingers and as knitting has become the new 'in' hobby why not come along and learn how to do it (or brush up on rusty skills)?. You will be assured of a warm welcome at this very friendly club.
