Nordelph Arts & Crafts Club

One of the liveliest organisations active in Nordelph is the weekly Arts and Crafts Club which meets on Wednesdays in the Village Hall from 1.30 to 3.30 each week. The scene above, though, is not from a regular meeting, but from the Club’s contribution to the Macmillan Cancer Relief Fund’s ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning 2004’. This national fund-raising event is of especial significance to the Club, because it was at the previous year’s event that the members decided to form the club!
It wasn’t possible to schedule the event on the appointed day, so the Club held a tea party instead. This raised £108 for the charity, thanks to those who attended, made cakes and gave donations.

The pictures above are from the very successful October 2004 meeting when Julie Jeffries from Guyhirn (seen standing in the left hand picture ) demonstrated the art of painting on glass. Following the meeting, several members felt inspired to buy their own paints and experimented with varying degrees of success!
