Damaged electric bicycle

Tate Modern- Exhibit One?

Alas I can’t claim to be the person who decided to try his hand at modern art
although I can claim to be the man who fronted this exhibition - I doubt if the originator will come forward to acclaim his/her masterpiece - he/she has decided to stay anonymous.

This ‘hit and run’ incident along Silt Road, Nordelph on 16th March 2005, could easily have been more serious for me than a night in hospital and agonising pain even after ten days, not to mention the cost of replacing the electric cycle.

The police released the following information to the Lynn News :

Car hit cyclist, failed to stop
POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 74-year-old man was knocked off his bicycle from behind by a car at Nordelph on Wednesday evening.
The driver failed to stop at the scene in Silt Road. The elderly cyclist, who has not been named, suffered head and back injuries and was taken to Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Police spokesman Nicola Veal said:

“We would like to hear from anyone who knows the whereabouts of this car or the driver.
The vehicle would have suffered damage to the nearside and we are particularly keen to speak to any mechanic who may have been asked to repair a vehicle in this state.”

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or with information about the car or its driver, is asked to contact PC John Widdows on 01953 424242 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.”
