HOME WATCH 2

There was a follow-up meeting on the Homewatch scheme on Monday April 18th in the Village Hall, attended by something around 15 people. Not everyone had been able to attend the first meeting, so some time was spent in reiterating the aims of the scheme.

The principal business however was to identify indiciduals who would act as coordinators -- receiving messages from the central police homewatch information service, keeping an eye on neighbours' property, expecially when empty, and be prepared to report suspicions and observations to the police.

Some areas of Nordelph were well covered with volunteers, although there was a notable lack North of the Creek.

When we have collated all of the information, we'll be instituting a 'Homewatch' section on this website, with contact details for the coordinators and so on. In the meantime, if you weren't able to be at either meeting, but would still like to act as a coordinator, you can download the application form here (close the new window to return to this page).

Also available were details of property-marking schemes for post-coding your valuables, and door stickers (see below) to discourage 'door-stepping'.
